It was supposedly dry with several wet spots from previous rain. You're right though, I don't think I've ever seen an N'Ring run under perfect conditions. The manufacturer just wants to say "It could have been better" that's all...

The GT-R V is gonna be faster than the ZR1, but this ~7:40 lap was done on a damp track, driven by engineer w/ a passenger. On a dry track with a good driver, I'm sure they'll shave at least a few seconds off that time. That 7:25 isn't official either.
Co-sign 100%. I'm confident the ZR1 will surpass the GT-R's but the Spec-V will ultimately be the victor. Funny though, is that nowadays we have a bunch of companies aiming to achieve the fastest production car record. The Lexus LF-A is rumored to have run a 7:24 time, the Nissan GT-R Spec V is rumored to have run a 7:25 time, Chevrolet ZR1 ran a 7:40 (ran by an engineer w/passanger), and the Pagani Zonda F recently timed an official 7:27. Holy crap talk about ridiculous performance!
