Overseas, problem for the Nba?
In previous years over seas expansion was great for the Nba. You had young players like Manu Ginobli drafted who werent ready to play in the Nba, stayed overseas and came in to amek an impact. Then you had players like Dirk and Parker who came over right away and have had great careers, so all in all international ball has been pretty important and many stars have come from overseas. But now with the power of the dollar compared to the Euro, and stronger international play will this be a problem for the Nba. Players who were drafted in previous years refuse to come over because they are making more money overseas. An example of this is Tiago Splitter who was drafted by the Spurs a year ago but doesnt want to come play anymore. Now you have players who don't want to play in college like Brandon Jennings who rather make money playing in Europe (can't really blame him though), and will obviously start a trend. And finally you have players like Boki Nachbar who returned overseas and Josh Childress who is an American player, a quality start on some teams going overseas. You have to wonder how the Nba feels about this when good players are staying or going overseas instead of chasin the NBA dream. THe dreams not completely killed when you have Frenchman Batum coming in the NBA this season through the draft, but the NBA needs to do somrhing before the habit of playing overseas takes over.
