ATOHNPRO: from listenin to your beat i would guess that the theme was anything BUT old school. your beat did not have anything to do with old school from the hi-hats to the snare rolls u had going. an ALRIGHT beat overall, but you didn't stick with the theme (which is the most important part of the battle)

DMXXMD: your beat was on theme..i don't know what ppl are talkin about "i didnt like it" and what not..your beat was cool. i liked it..i gave each beat two listens..and yours definately sounded wayyy better than ATOHNPRO'S even still on the second listen. although the high pitched voices are not reall old school, the flow and roll of your beat gave off that old vibe..

-->wish you guys would have done better..but my vote goes to DMXXMD.

antohnpro ~ Yup, you didnt stick with the theme. The beat you made sounds too new and a bit too convoluted to be considered "old school". No offense, but it sounds like you made it in 5 minutes. I dunno if that was what you were going for, if thats the truth, whatever... it just sounded weak and off theme. More samples, less playing with the hi-hats.

DMXXMD ~ Ur beat was not that much better but it was enough to win the battle. I thought what you made was "aiight" @ best.... the tone changed instantly from the intro into something much darker, I dunno if you thought "old school = dark" but... it doesnt. Try to find more samples that go with the vibe of what you are hearing. Dont just throw shit in to throw it in.

Both ya'll keep working. Vote is to DMXXMD.

Antohnpro - sounded like some shit Cass would rip, but just wasnt old school my man... not at all... I liked the beat, dont get me wrong, the drums was a lil bit old school but the synth's and shit just wasnt...

DMXXMD - sample was nice, and nicely put together, theme was on point (not all the way, but mostly), and the drums was nice... I really think you could of did better to tell you the truth but you got my vote...

on the real tho, yall both need work on mixin/masterin... just a tip...
