anybody else played this yet?

great fun. gonna be a great when it comes out.
the graphics are amazing, the damage is VERY realistic. the detail they have put in this game is great. smashing into barriers and the barriers actually bend, tyres fall off when you hit tyre walls. mud and dust flying everywhere. etc.

recommend getting this demo and using the ickler buggy. Great fun

first time i played i just bashed the cars..
this game is a must buy after it comes out!

forza 2 demo had really sucky damage system..i tought tha the car gonna breakdown in there but guess not..

i'm yet to get the demo because my connection is being a bastard for me at the moment lol

i want to get it though, i loved the original games on the playstation, it was one of the first racing games i actually enjoyed

Forza 2 > Dirt hands down.

Dirt feels a lot more arcadey, not to mention Forza is more of a car simulator while Dirt is more like an arcade game.

IMO Forza is just a watered-down gran turismo while collin mcrae is an accurate rally simulator

dunno about dirts demo being better, but at least the cars dont sport forza's plastic car look

i have no fuckin idea why forza was so hyped.. it sucked ass.. that way it moved.. the accleration.. the plastic look like that guy said^.. im at about 94% done with dirt, it better be good..

How is Forza a watered Gran Turismo?

The game basically did what Gran Turismo tried to do.

Full out customization, better physics, online play, and an actual damage system. The audio is also a million times better. Gran Turismo has been using the same sound effects since Gran Turismo 3, while Forza's cars sound very unique (You can actually hear the difference in engine/tranny upgrades.) They have pro racers personally vouching for the game saying it's the best most authentic experience this side of F355 Challenge.

The definition of watered down is usually a failed attempt at recreating an experience.

The only game that I can think of as a "watered down" Gran Turismo would probably be Enthusia.

I think maybe when you guys are fucking old enough to drive and participate in an autocross, closed circuit race, or any race that requires proper acceleration, braking, and apexing skills, than maybe you'd appreciate what Forza is, instead of thinking games like Midnight Club are hot shit.
