EA's new survival horror title emerges just in time for Halloween

EA is leaping on the survival horror bandwagon.

Reported on Game Informer's website, the game is called Dead Space.

It's said that "Fans of the cult-classic film Event Horizon and straight-up horror aficionados aren't going to want to miss this one", and the cover of an upcoming Game Informer magazine featuring the game declares, "In the far reaches of space, humanity brings to light a forgotten alien scourge. Can one man cut through the darkness?"

A call to EA's UK arm turned up nothing extra, although it confirmed the game's existence and said details are to be released soon.
