FF7:

Is a Final Fantasy VII remake for the PlayStation 3 actually coming? There's a huge possibility it is according to today's Famitsu issue. It's not an exact quote, but Famitsu says "A third party game that will save the PlayStation 3 in Japan is to be announced tomorrow".

Considering the options there is a huge possibility for a Final Fantasy VII remake, but don't get too hyped up as it might be something different.

Crisis Core:

The accurate numbers have finally arrived and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is selling well: Around 470,000 copies of the games were sold on its first week. The game did not break any Sony PSP records, but 470,000 is very nice.

Sounds really really good. If FF7 is announced tomorrow, i will be very, very excited. Crisis Core's sales are good too. 470,000 within a week. All the 77,777 PSP's have gone. I am waiting on mine. I will put photo's up when i get it if anyone wants a look?

If it's a 3rd party game, then it could save the PS3 as much as destroy it.

3rd party = possibility of going multiplatform.

not if it's 3rd party FF7. Square (before they became Square-Enix) and Sony signed a deal so that anything FF7, would always be released on a Sony product. Always. Same goes for all the FF's after 7. (The main series). Obviously Square-Enix have made an FF game for the Wii because they think they can make money because the Wii is selling so well.

but back to topic. If it's another spin-off, i'll be annoyed. If it's FF7. The PS3's time to shine is now.

You just cant tell with Square-Enix. Square would have just released a remake. But since 'Enix' came along, their ideas rule the roost

Don't play about with a classic just because a console isn't performing above expectation
