5.1 Sound System or a Xbox 360?

Im gonna get 5.1 sound system or a xbox this holiday season...what should i get?

the system im looking at is around 2500-4000 Canadian....We will see...

im not sure what the exchange rate is but im think US is almost the same why dont you get a 360 for 400 then waste the other 1500-3500 on a sound system

360 with tv speakers...vs ps3+bluray in surround sound......ill see.

Who makes it?

If it's made by any of these companies, don't get it: Bose, JVC, Sony, Panasonic, Insignia, Nexxtech, Philips, or Magnavox.

If it's made by these companies, get it: Denon, Boston Acoustics, Polk Audio, JBL, Velodyne, Klipsch, B&W, Definitive Technology, or Paradigm

Try to avoid getting an HTIB (Home Theater In A Box) at all costs.

If you aren't getting what I recommended, I say just go with the 360. Since your sound system has a better chance at failing you as opposed to the 360 (Which is saying a LOT).

if this is just for your room (bedroom) then dont blow 4G on a surround sound set up, id only spend around 2g max just on a sound set up for my bed room. i just blew bout 3g on a living room set up tho (3 grand cost, my mate runs a electronic shop), shit sounds amazing, just gotta get a ps3 now

yo for the price of that sound system.. u could get a 32 & up hdtv 1080p, a 360 elite plus halo 3 and other games, and a sound system.. and the 360 is a guaranteed to entertain you...
