Is it just me or are games getting more difficult? It seems that recently, many games demand more skill than they used to. The problem? New gamers are finding it hard to play certain games and being put off by them. Lets take Resistance Fall Of Man. Great game, but even on Easy, the difficulty is really, really hard. Rainbow Six Vegas was really, really hard on certain levels and multiplayer too.

your opinions please.

Games are getting easyer, i found halo 3 pretty hard tho when i played it.

without the vital stations..bioshock would be hard as fuck

i think as games evolve they require a different set of skills

a perfect game for this example would be def jam icon, no joke

how many people played the demo and hated it? around 95% i'd say

the reason they hated it was because it's harder to control and do things than def jam vendetta and fight for NY. it requires you to use the bass in a song to time your attacks and be good at counter-attacking, something which wasn't always essential in the last two games cos you could smash someone over the head with a snooker cue

i'm not gonna say Icon was an amazing game (although i personally like it) but it was extremely difficult to play unless you understand the buttons and how to play the game. the things with the bass, unless explained, is too hard to comprehend but when you do learn it, it's incredible to use and understand

i think gameplay is becoming more complex rather than difficulty getting harder

Depends on your general gaming skills i think?
I dont see RSVegas being hard even on realistic difficulty,IMO there should be even harder mode.

RSVegas is easy, the AI truley sucks on that game.
