I've noticed it for a LONG time now , but this takes the piss, check this:

While the Wii, DS, Xbox 360 and even PS3/PSP have been celebrating some level of success, the PS2 saw a 47% drop in software sales this September when compared to September 06. And this drop is following the 33% year to year decline we witnessed the month before. Things aren't looking good for the PS2, and according to Deutsche Bank analyst Jeetil Patel: While this substantial decline was inevitable, it is currently unclear whether the drop reflects consumer transition to next-gen software or weak spending patterns amongst the low-end consumer...we think that the PS2 may finally be on its way out of the industry for good. I'm all for having a laugh and fanboy-games we all have, but Kotaku always talk shit on Sony and mean it. So fuck em. Anyone else notice it in their biased articles??? P.S lmao @ things looking bad for the PS2. The PS2 is the best console ever made imo... it played every PS1 title, and every PS2 title, , top games and broke records with sales.

All i can say is no shit to that, people are moving to the 7th generation of systems. But the fact ps2 is still outselling 360 and ps3 on a weekly basis it cant be doing that bad.... |

fuck off Kotaku. They are 360 dickriders running that site. They posted like 30 positive Halo 3 threads. Watch if the post 30 FFXIII threads. Me thinks they wont

ps2 still rocks!..of course the sales are gonna go down..like kharmon said ppl are moving to the newer systems..but imo the ps2 still has life..lots of great games and it's cheap..

i seem to remember reading the PS2 sold like 75million consoles! so how is it bad? eveyone who needs a PS2 has likely got one by now..
see what i mean about Sony hate? How can they even talk bad on such a company? I've noticed it alot but that article was one of the worst

werd.. or ppls that traded their old ps2' for the new 40gb ps3's and then having to get another ps2.. smh.. but its all good.. ps. don't trade in or sell your ps2's if ur getting a 40gb..
