'Bioshock' Wins BAFTA Best

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts held their videogame awards last night, and Bioshock took home the Best Game honors...but that's it for the critically acclaimed game.

Wii Sports took home the most awards (six). Upsets and WTFs? include Crackdown beating out both The Orange Box and Gears of War for best action and adventure game and Wii Sports winning for Strategy and Simulation (It's a good game, but hardly a good simulation).

We're not sure how nominee eligibility was determined on either--nominated games include both unreleased games and games that have been out for more than a year, but according to BAFTA: "nominations for this year's awards were entered by both developers and publishers, and then shortlisted by BAFTA games members and a number of industry experts via a secure website. A short list was then divided into released and unreleased titles, with each BAFTA game juror playing either the finished game or pre-release code."

just because the developers paid money to get 100/100 in reviews,doesnt mean its the best game

Bioshock was fucking amazing, the story, the ambient, the gameplay, soundscape...I'll even go as far as saying its one of the top 5 games of the decade

It's funny how anytime a game that somebody doesn't like gets a good score, they always say money plays a part in their decision.
