Depends on 3 things
1. Do you have an HDTV? 2. Do you like movies? 3. Do you want to get the full potential out of your HDTV? If you said yes to ALL 3 things, then I say it's worth it. The only disadvantage with the the 360 HD DVD drive is the 360 is loud as fucking shit, and it might fuck up the mood during the more quiet scenes on your movies. |

imo no. HD-DVD 'probably' wont win the format war imo, Blu-Ray is outselling it 4-1 last time i heard. Also, aint Microsoft thinking of putting a HD-Drive in newer 360's?
Like i said in a previous thread, if M$ sold consoles with a HD Drive in em, Blu Ray would be losing now, but unfortunately for M$, they didn't.... so it's up to you man, i dont wanna say yes, and i dont wanna say no. I'd hate to see you buy a HD Drive, n soon enough they quit making HD disks... maybe blu ray and HD can live together? I dont know. We'll see.

well honestly i dnt think eithier format will die out cause some companies have decided to be on HD DVD Only Such As Paramount (TRANSFORMERS) and then again Disney Has Signed on to be Blu Ray Only (Gay Lil Kid Movies)

I say get it then. Don't listen to In$anity. Besides, I think the 7th gen format wars would be over before the HD Format war would come to an end. If HD DVD can get another exclusive company (preferably Warner Brothers), then the battle would be a lot more even. Besides, there are plenty of HD DVD movies to choose from already (Way more than 10 movies btw).
I say get it AFTER you get the HDTV though. No use having an HD DVD player without an HDTV. |
