if you guys have any mod's you would like to share feel free to post
![]() ![]() ![]() Xbox 360 Quake 4 Mod At a LAN party I met a couple of guys that where selling custom mods for everything. They showed me some examples and I found this really cool Xbox 360 mod. A guy brought in his Xbox 360 with the idea to make it Quake 4 style. He didn’t know how. So the guys from Moddingmasters did the work for him. On this page you can see the process from start to finish. The guys from moddingmasters are always looking for new things so if you have a cool idea but not the skills or time to do it yourself they can do it for you. And Soefkenijn thanks for my casemod! __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ File this under: Cool Xbox 360 Case Mods Bit-Tech pointedto this incredible HL:2 case mod by PinPoint of QJ forums. ![]() The Xbox 360 mod has a massive window cut in the top, and a further window and decal added to the DVD drive. Theres an awesome layered logo on the bottom, and the console is designed to be stood up, with a fantastic paint job. Its a slick finish and the whole thing works really well, with some nice geometric shapes giving it a unique appeal ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() Modded Xbox 360 - The Llamma guys has modded up the Xbox 360 nicely with a window mod, a 4″ cold cathode and a blue LED ring around the power button. Apart from the visual mod, they’ve upped the fan to 12V for better cooling and added a laptop hard drive to boost its total disk space to 60GB. I doubt they’re selling this, but they do teach you how to mod your own blue LED ring and hard drive upgrade. __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() So you've seen all the "Crazy PC Case Mods", now check out these impressive XBox 360 mods. We'll start off with the "Crystal Clear XBox 360", this modder stuffed all the 360's internals into a clear case, complete with fans and LEDs. View all after the jump. Quote:

![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ Xbox 360 mod sports fully-internal water cooling ![]() There are a few ways to remedy the Xbox 360's heat problem, but none of them are as impressive as the all-internal water-cooling system created by Dano2k0 on the Xbox-scene forums. Somehow, he's managed to squeeze a Zern GPU block, a Koolance GPU-180-H06 block, a Tank-o-Matic mini reservoir, a 12v thermaltake pump and DD fill port into the 360's already crowded interior. The mods don't stop on the inside, as the box itself is customized with blue LEDs, plexiglass windows, some slick blue paint and, best of all, no huge water pipes that look like they came from a pool filter. ![]() Some guys mod their cars with rims and spoilers and others mod their computers and game consoles so as to stand out, look cool, or just be an ostentatious know-it-all. A gentleman by the name of Dano2k0 set out to water-cool his Xbox 360 in addition to adding some extra lights just for kicks. As it stands, the CPU and GPU of the system that Microsoft built are water-cooled with a Tank-o-Matic mini reservoir. But why stop there when you can install a plexiglass side panel, a 90mm radiator pane on said plexiglass panel and a custom cut DVD window? The mod is set to be featured in a UK Xbox magazine next month, or you can check out the original forum post and see all the pictures right now. It definitely puts the Cool IT water-cooled 360 in its place. – Nicholas Deleon Dano2k0's Watercooled 360 Project, All In Its Original Case!, Possibly one of the best watercooled projects yet? __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() Someone at the Llamma’s Game Console Forum has uploaded some photos of these sweet “Blood-Spattered” Xbox 360 case mod. The mod features off course lots of blood spatter. Check more interesting images after the jump! ![]() ![]()

Incredible Gears of War Xbox 360 Case Mod
![]() Let’s forget these silly little Spiderman 3 Computer Case and Xbox 360 Half Life 2 Case Mod that we have mentioned yesterday. Now we have something else… Designed by “grim_d” @ X-box scene forum, this Gears of War Xbox360 case mod kicks some serious ass. Check for more pics after the jump! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() We've blogged about the Llama.com folks before, but we've got to give them props yet again for the tremendous job they did on their latest mod: a Rockstar-themed Xbox 360. The wet-look paint job seen here gives the Xbox 360 some of the same glossy shine that contributes to the sex appeal of the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii consoles. But this mod also makes us wonder why, in this age of candy-coated Apple products, manufacturers still dare to release dull, matte-skinned hunks of plastic that look more like boring old personal computers than fruits dropped from the forbidden tree of consumer technology. __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________

Xbox 360 Controller LED MOD
![]() Precisewitem from the Hacked Gadgets Forum has put together a nice tutorial on how to perform an LED mod to your Xbox 360 Controller. “SUPPLIES BASICS - Soldering Iron - 15W Can be purchased as a kit from rat shack - 30 AWG Wire Strippers - Not necessary but will help out a lot - Resin Core Solder - Comes in kit if you get it at rat shack - 1/16 -> 1/8 shrinkwrap and shrinkable tape - Necessary - LEDs - All same color or specifications. Up to 3V Forward voltage - Resistor - Calculated based upon LEDs. Lookup Resistor Calculator - Sponge - Not necessary but helpful - T8 Torx Skrewdriver - sold with controller case - 30 AWG hookup wire - 28 or 30 AWG is a must as the wire has to navigate the inside of the controller case. ” ![]() ![]() __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ How to mod an Xbox 360 controller's LEDs Some people said it couldn't be (or simply hadn't been) done, but it looks like someone's decided to go in and mod the LEDs on his wired Xbox 360 controller, and provide a detailed guide (with pictures and a video) on how you can do likewise. [UPDATE: The more extensive tutorial was released later, but we did cover the site before. Thanks for noticing!] Since it doesn't look like Microsoft will be offering different pad or light colors at launch, this looks to be the closest we'll get to controller customizations for some time. Just be sure not to jump in and start disassembling your $40 controller unless you're "a fearless soldering god." Wise words from a skilled Llamma. __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ![]() Gidgets weblog Engadget has a step-by-step tutorial for hacking your Xbox 360's standard video cable into an HD VGA cable. Naturally, you can buy a VGA cable for your Xbox at about $40 - but if you're the adventurous sort, you can get the same results with your existing Xbox video cable and around $7. It looks like a relatively involved process, at least for the electronics uninitiated, but the tutorial is very detailed, so if you think you've got it in you, you can't go wrong with these instructions. — Adam Pash How-To: Turn a standard Xbox 360 video cable into a VGA cable for make benefit your wallet __________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ One-Handed Wireless Xbox 360 Controller ![]() Master modder Ben Heck is at it again, and this time he builds a one-handed Xbox 360 controller, called "Access Controller". ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:

There's some really sick designs there but for me the one's that stand out most are the internal water cooling 360 and the 360 with a monitor built into it.
Nice post. |
