Hey all, i just got myself a ps3 60 gig version with built in wireless today and i'm lovin it but i'm having a problem setting up the wireless connection. I've entered my router's wpa code and all but when it's searching for the ip at the end it says it has failed. anyone got any ideas what i'm meant to do?
am i supposed to type in a default ip or something? all help would be very much appreciated, thanks. EDIT: Before you post let me make this clear that Wired (ethernet) is not an option. Last edited by Jay747; 10-27-2007 at 08:44 PM.. |

you might have to add it in manually. to do this open command prompt on your computer and type ipconfig /all that will be all your data. you do not want to put the same IP address as your computer so add a digit or 2. |

no it aint lol ....... wired is for people who dont have wireless. Wireless is the future...
My PS3 is wireless but i dont have any protection on it... Works like a charm... Not 100% sure what the prob is, try removing your encryption for wireless and using your PS3 without a password. Before graphf goes ape-shit about not protecting wireless, unless your neighbours are little shits, i doubt they'll be stealing your wireless (if it even reaches next door)......
