If you are a fan of the Guitar Hero series, get it. This shits all over Guitar Hero 3 by far for 5 reasons.

1. The guitar is better: It doesn't make them annoying clicking noises, and actually looks like a real guitar, and not that fischer price garbage that was on the first three Guitar Heroes. It even has effects switches and all that stuff.

2. This game has drums, and it's actually both fun and very challenging to play. Hitting the drum pads is easy, working the bass pedal while hitting the drum pads is hard as fuck, and requires good coordination.

3. The notes actually make sense, unlike on Guitar Hero 3 where they made easy, moody songs hard as fuck by making the notes unorthodox, and with as many chords and 32nd notes as possible

4. The multiplayer is way better, playing drums, lead guitar, bass, and singing with a group of people (or over the internet) is actually pretty fun, and diverse. I got on the drums, while my girl (who doesn't even play videogames) sang, and my friend was on the lead guitar.

5. The game came out yesterday, and it already has more downloadable content than Guitar Hero 3 (which came out a month ago) and a little bit less than Guitar Hero 2 (which came out almost a year ago).

I personally think it's worth the 170, especially if you were on the fence about it. If you are one of the people that are going to quote South Park and say Guitar Hero is gay, go take that shit somewhere else.

i had a feeling it was gonna be better then guitar hero but im not a fan of those types of games.but u have to admit that south park quote was funny

It was funny, I'll admit that, but people are thinking GH series sucks just cause of what south park said :<

Which IMO is stupid, because it's actually a good game, people just take it a little too far.

would prop but gotta spread. i only wanted this game for the drums. i'm just gonna wait till the ps2 version comes out so i can just download it. with the holidays so close i can't justify spendin $170. that's almost the exact price of this armani outfit i'm buyin for shorty and in my world pussy > games.

If I got it do I need to have the drums, or can I just play the whole single player by myself without having the drums and mic? Because I don't feel like dishing out that money for those stupid drums. So will I be able to play it with just a guitar?

Yeah, you can play the game with just the guitar, but imo, the drums imo are what make it worth the price. If you have the GH2 guitar, then you can play Guitar, Bass, and if you have a 360 Headset, you can play lead singer too.
