It's also pretty sad that in order for them to get on par, they had to drop the price on the PS3 TWICE in less than a year.

I don't think 360 went to 399.. until around May 2007 ? not to mention it doesn't have blu ray which definetly drives sales up a lot. so really I would expect for it to be on track or be above 360 after 1 year.

if we gonna play that, then M$ had to give a 3 year warranty , price drop and try n bundle lots of HD-DVD's to sell the 360 I know Shops themselves sell the HD-DVDs, but M$ can force that decision

M$ gave a 3 year warranty due to RROD, which I will say impacted alot of 360 sales, because people didn't want to buy a console that will break

price drop ? yea.. 1.5 years later, PS3 did a price drop 6 months after there console drop, and than 3-4 months later, there console right now is cheaper than 360 was after the first year, there losing mad money on that.

What's wrong with bundling HD-DVD's with 360 ? I mean they did make a 360 HD-DVD drive, why not bundle movies with it ? it looks like a deal, not to sell 360, if anything it was to boost HD-DVD player sales.

obviously! to compete with the 360 giving away HD-DVD's. It's all a game. It's copy each other until you get the ultimate bundle and win the console war. Always has been.

Just look at gaming since it began. Or more recently, look at Nintendo 64's controller. The way of controlling on-screen things with the stick became standard.

And M$, Sony & Nintendo will continue taking the best ideas to sell their console until the war is won, and after....
