Watch the 'parry' move that Ken makes - every single parry is a move in itself, requiring superb timing, but Ken makes 15 of the things in perfect succession, topped off with a uber-difficult mid-air parry before following up all this hard work with his own ridiculously demanding super combo to win the match, the tournament and the adoration of a horde of baying onlookers.

You all know Mario, for sure, but you don't know it like this. At times, this high-speed run is almost balletic, the plumber leaping with exquisite timing through sections that frustrated us for hours.

Okay, he's used the warps, and okay it's a geriatric game. But we can't fail to be impressed by the sheer consistency of play, or feel humbled by the amount of time this gamer must have invested in smashing through this classic challenge.
