Xbox 360 struggling in Japan

US, January 11, 2008 - Famitsu recently released its compilation of Japanese game sales data for 2007. Though Microsoft has expressed confidence in its ability to compete in Japan, the sales numbers don't look promising. No Xbox 360 game cracked the top 100 in sales in Japan for '07 and only three titles (Ace Combat, Eternal Sonata and Halo 3) showed up in the top 20 for sales in any given month. None broke into the top 10.

It's no surprise that Xbox 360 could not muster strong software sales in Japan. According to Famitsu, the system sold just 257,841 units in the entire year. That's a million less than PlayStation 3 and more than 500,000 less than the PS2.

Surprisingly, the top-selling 360 titles are predominantly Western-developed. Though Lost Odyssey topped the list with just of 90,000 units sold, the top 20 includes Halo 3, Crackdown, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Assassin's Creed.

those 'fag' games are actually GOOD games.

I suggest you buy a few from play-asia and see what you make of them before you comment.

Plus the real reason isn't Japan being biased, it's because America nuked them and they don't wanna be putting more of their hard earned cash into the country that cost so many people their lives...

well when i've spoken to people of Japanese or Chinese origin about the subject, thats what they've told me... n trust me, there are quite alot of Chinese/Japanese who actually agree with the fact that the Japanese people (some anyway) don't like feeding money into the US for that reason..

or most likely they just dont like the 360 AT ALL
