With PlayStation 3’s in short supply, many gamers are looking to search eBay for an answer. Well here at PS3Land.com we thought we would share with you some of the prices you’ll be looking at when buying on eBay.

There are some prices that are hitting as high as $8,000 and $9,000, although it seems that about 80%% of the PS3 items are selling for around $1,000-$2,000 and shipping ranges from free to $150.

The biggest thing to look out for when shopping on eBay is to read the titles and details carefully. By surfing the pages you will find things such as “Sony PlayStation 3 PS3 Premium 60GB System Movie” selling for $1,575 or “Sony PlayStation 3 PS3 60 GB Pre-Sale BUNDLE Sealed!!!” for $70 when all you get is a pre-order form.

So, when shopping on eBay, be careful and make sure you have loaded pockets.

My buddy got 18 of them, he lives in LA. He pre-ordered 18, all under different names and is getting a bunch of his friends to pick one up (becuase you're only allowed 2 per family or w/e).

He pre-ordered at Best Buy, but then they took it down because it was a mistake, but he still gets the pre-orders.

He's selling 10 of them on ebay with a minimum asking price of 2500, obviously will go higher.

He's keeping 8 to himself, and selling them to his friends for cheaper.

Those $8k auctions were obviously fake no one would pay that much when the next auction down is going for maybe $1500

Why would someone pay $2500 for PS3 when there are about 150 auctions on eBay with the PS3s going for half that price. Plus most of the more expensive ones ($1800) have a game, dvd, and free shipping included in the auction. If he did get 18 he's gonna be makin alot of money but not $2000 on each system.

Man, theyr'e only shipping out 400,000 to ALL of North America. That means that 400,000 of 350,000,000+++ people get one. That's some sort of fraction I will never know becuase I failed math.

Huge nerds with money will be willing to pay that much.
