Sony has gone ahead and made their highly publicized V1.10 firmware update available on the web, allowing current and future PlayStation 3 owners to download the update from their personal computers. The new firmware is purported to add a few new features to the console and patch some security holes.

With the update being approximately 98.2 MB, narrowband internet users are likely to feel a pinch downloading this file. Thankfully, the update will be included in launch titles such as Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer 7 to help get the update out to those who have a slower connection, or those less fortunate who don't have an internet connection at all.
