and im tryin to connect to xbox live thru a switch so i have a cable from the modem running to the switch and from the switch i have ethernet cables connected to My Comp & My 360 so wen i try to sign up for xbox live it wnt sign on wen i run text connection the network adapter gets wired and then it goes to IP Address And That Just Keeps Failing & It Says This

just manually set your own ip address to: 192.168.1.1

Edit: Tried That and still aint make no diffrence

I had some shit like this and it took about 20 calls to XBSupport and my ISP support to get it fixed. The way I eventually fixed it was by opening ports on the router, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX, they might tell you to call your ISP though.

still cant connect i have evebn tried going directly from the modem to the 360 and shyt still give me the same screen

do you have a router or a switch ? and make sure you have the settings in the network part of your 360 settings set to DHCP automatic, or whatever.

got it workin sunday but im not connecting thru the switch no more i gots to b disconecting and reconecting the ethernet cable between use of comp and 360.my homie is gonna hook it up with a better switch so wish me luck
