i know few of you have that nice HDTV or something that can play that HDTV stuff..
but what i want to know..HOW BIG IS THE DIFFRENCE..i tried googling to compare HDTV and HDMI if it makes diffrence but i cant see to find any sites to do that comparing..so if anyone wants to try, take picture of some game on NORMAL TV MODE and then take the same picture on HDTV...and IF possible HDMI [probably on some dvd players] but if anyone knows good site..let me know |

Don't have a site, but it basically cuts out the static and improves the sound quality a shitload.

there is a huge difference between reg tv and HD
me and my friend used to play side by side and with Rainbow 6 on my HD right next to his Rainbow 6 on a reg TV you could definitely tell i think its worth the money

pictures dont do it any justice.... just go to your game store and play one of the demo systems they have... mine have them on samsung tv and just compare it to yours. a HDTV is def worth getting.. that why im not even gonan bother to get a next gen system without one. as far as HDMI cables you can get them for 30 bucks and even cheaper on the web. basically no difference between monster 90 dollar cables and cheap ones.

Here is my diagnostic....
Composite to Component: Big ass difference, almost night and day, composite is blurry as hell, and the colors are washed out, while component cleans things up a lot. Component to VGA: VGA will have sharper lines, but Component will have a better contrast of colors. Component to HDMI: On 720p, you really can't tell the difference (least I couldn't), hell, even on 1080p, I couldn't tell the difference (Cept the sharper lines). I ran Gran Turismo HD on component cables in 720p mode with components, and then ran it in 1080p mode with HDMI, and the only difference really was HDMI had sharper lines. Other than that, running HDMI vs. component in 720p is very hard to see the difference in my experiences. ( I ran a test on both my Samsung 56 inch 1080p TV in the living room, AND the Gateway 24 inch 1080p monitor in my bedroom). Overall, it'd basically be like this... Component Vs. Composite = Night and Day Component Vs. HDMI = Coke and Pepsi |
