Would you buy it? Would you buy a PS3 JUST for Final Fantasy 7? I think a re-make of FF7 on the PS3 would be the ultimate move. It'd shift every single PS3 console. With updated graphics, it'd be such a top move. I live in hope of a re-make. I cannot think of a better game i'd like to have re-made. The tech demo of what FF7 would look like on PS3 was beautiful and i saw in awe of it.

So anyway, air your comments and answers here and let's discuss the possibilities

Final Fantasy VII is good, but not $600 good.

Final Fantasy VI is by far my favorite, and I didn't even waste money buying a GBA for that.

As for shifting every PS3 console, I highly doubt that. For 3 reasons.

1). Not all the PS3 people are into RPGs
2). Unless it comes out on the Playstation Store for like $20, not as many peeps would buy it (I would if I had a PS3 since I love FFVII, but I'm just saying)
3). Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, and Resident Evil are also killer app games from the past generation, but that still didn't shift the gamecube to the front.

Good points, but the Gamecube was wack....... Most of the games were aimed at children. Final Fantasy appeals to all ages. The PS3 has flagship games that go with Final Fantasy to help sell the console. Imo, the PS3 will become the best selling console out of the 3.

It would be a great move, but i imagine people would be oppose to it because they would probably believe it would be like killing a classic. FF7 had almost no flaw whatsoever, just now its become dated. But the essence of FF7 was the great story and characters, i doubt squarenix would fuck with a good thing. If it did come out on PS3 though, i would no doubt consider getting a ps3 just to play it . Seems excessive but its not like i would buy it just for the game, would double asentertainment system. N could of course play other games as well.

Square already fucked up FF7 with ridiculous pointless movies (Advent Children) and shitty side story of games (Dirge of Cerberus & that other one with Zack as the main character).

Uhhh, listen to yourself.

The gamecube had WAY more killer app franchises than both Sony and Microsoft combined, and Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, Resident Evil, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil 4 weren't considered kiddy games. If gamecube is lame, what makes you think PS3 is actually great. Also, what makes you think Final Fantasy VII would be an exception to the rule when the more popular Metal Gear Solid couldn't turn the tides for the Gamecube?

FFVII would be great, but thinking an old classic would single handedly revive a doomed system is simply daft. Symphony Of The Night (One of the top rated PSX games of all time) came out for 360, but I don't see 360's flying off store shelves.

I think they would ruin it if they did, they'd try too hard to change things and "improve" the perfect game

Better graphics are the only thing i'd enjoy if they did do it but i honestly wouldn't buy a PS3 just to get it
