Okay this problem is gonna be a little hard for me to explain, but check it..
When im doin a beat, and i wanna put in a sound in the playlist. You know those ready-made samples to the left in fruity loops that you can use, and when i drag them straight to the playlist, and then i drop them - NOT IN ANY PATTERN - but below, you know where the audio clips should be dropped. My problem is, that i don't know how to edit that clip so i make my own tones in the piano roll and such... The reason i drop them in the audio clip space and not in the patterns is because if i drop it in a pattern, it would be the same sound always, but in audio clip, i could have different sounds for every space in the playlist.. I do hope someone out there understands my problem and can help me how to do this, either how to edit the sample i've put in the audio clip space, or if there are any better ways to do it like i wanna have... peace out btw: check my beats: www.myspace.com/mezbeatz |

Noo you just don't understand the problem, thats all.. I do not make things more complicated, u just gotta understand what my question is..
I do know how to just right click and open in a sampler and that stuff.. But, you know in the playlist, not by the pattern, but the further down part where you drop audio clips? i wanna drop those sounds in that part of the playlist, and when i drop them there, i can hear that particular part playing, but i cannot edit it.. In the step sequencer, everytime i drop those sounds into that part of the playlist, that appears in the step sequencer - and a new folder is created by itself called "audio clips". |

yea u are makin it more complicated.... all u have to do is click the top arrow of the sound in the playlist and hit edit sample and u can edit it in edison.... it's suppose to create a new folder, inside that folder you'll find all the sounds u added and u can open the channel settings from there to edit vol, pan, pitch or whatever..... like i said its not that complicated

Okay... ima try to rephrase the question..
When you drop a sound on a pattern, on every "block" that you make a clip on, that particular sound is gonna sound on every block of that pattern.. because it is a pattern right? However, is there any way, to NOT get the same sound everytime you fill on a block on a particular pattern? I want different tones for different blocks going horizontally on ONE pattern... Hope you understand my problem now... peace |
