Christmas is bittersweet for me. I do work and buy most of the shit I want as the year goes on so gifts aren't a huge issue. We aren't in the "Christmas spirit", but there are plenty of gifts under the tree, so there is happiness yet there is sadness in not having a tree and remembering the other Christmas' that were ruined by drugs and alcohol. Not that I have any thing remotely against drugs or alcohol, but there is a time, place, know your limit, and don't take it out on your kids.
I already opened 2 gifts. I got the MC DEVVO and SHADY PIEZ (Fat-Pie.com :: Animation and stuff by David Firth) CD and DVD combo pack. And this amazing plush heated blanket (which I'm so chill in right now). My dog ripped open the NBA Street game I wanted for PS2 so I know I got that. And I have a feeling I got another external hard drive for my growing media collection. Looks like I got the Emily Haines poster I wanted with pills all over it. Hopefully I got the Atmosphere hoodie I wanted and the P.O.S. T-Shirt too. I asked for the Pete Doherty journals too. But problem with that was is that is sold in UK no US places have it. So my mom would have had to order it from Amazon.com UK's site. What I do every year is send my mom an e-mail with a list of the thing I want on it and underneath the item I put a link of where she can find that item the cheapest. So I usually get whatever is on my list, which isn't much every year, which is probably why I get what I want (so not to sound pretentious or a spoiled bitch, lol, it's just cause I don't ask for much). I take all the shopping out for her, just click and buy. Anything else they get me is up to them. I didn't ask for external hard drive or heated blanket but got it. Thankfully for the heated blanket, winter sucks so bad. Of course I'm the one who gets stuck with all the yardwork in the winter too. It sucks I have calluses on my hands like a guy, but the rest of my hand is smooth like a girl's is supposed to be...it's fucked So now I can just come in, change from wet cold clothes and hop under heated blanket, or when I get home from working the night shift all the time. The heat feels good after standing straight for 8 hours and lifting people's groceries.
