ok, so i have 7mbps connection and i use torrents... utorrent is the program i use. and my speeds are like 20kb - 50 kb, really slow...... wen i download from rapidshare speeds are like 700kbps.

I think i need an open port or something... and i dont know how to find one.

Im using Rogers are my service and my Modem is "Motorola SB5100"... if anyone can tell help me out, major propzz

go to portforward.com

in fact there is a link to it from utorrent from tha Speed Guide window.....i gotta do dis from time to time myself...just go to dat site and find ur router model and follow tha instructions fo it..

pick up a linksys wrt54g, they like a standard in routers. i have it and with the port forwarded i get good speeds with torrents. also make sure theres a decent number of seeds on the torrent's tracker

it dont mean that u cant do it...u can do it wit any modem...u just gotta find out ur modem's address and go to it and change tha settings for it...

what site are you dling from?? mininova and other public sites will give you that 20-50 kb window.... on private sites i usually hit around 200....

all my private sites max me out... you need to have a 2:1 ratio of seeders:leechers on torrent a torrent to get great speeds. so if ur downloading from public sites... fawget about it.

I look this up for Killaz 2.0, your modem isn't a modem/router. Your not going to be able to forward a port.
