Well in the Rap-a-lot video record shop store owner said that album sales droped 65% for last 4 years. Let's say sales drop about 35% because of wack shit that's comin out lately, but the otyer 30%- thats internet and bootlegin

Shitall really, if people didn't get it here they would get it somewhere else. It's only hurting the mainstream industry so who gives a shit. Although in some ways its helping the industry, I know I would never of ordered Eastern Philosophy or The Gatalog if it wasn't for this site.

that is very true. To new upandcoming artist anybody downloading thier shit would be helping them in the long run.. Either the fan would like thier shit and buy the album or the next album theyput out would get purchased.. But for well established artist yea.. I can see were it fucks them over..

I was just thinking the same thing last night.. "wondering how much RGF messed shit up in album sales..

downloading music can sometimes have a positive affect as well. for example, in Britain u dont hear artists like Raekwon for example. Now i would have never bought his shit cos id never heard him. but i downloaded cuban linx...loved it, bought cuban linx and his other 2 albums...so hes sold 3 more records lol. im sure a lot of ppl buy stuff they wudnt have b4 they downloaded it
