hm I don't believe this..if it were real they would probably try to make a phone call to him or something like that..not just send a letter. So what if someone stole the mail the day when the letter came? he wouldn't get the money then..

I agree, that's some serious money. They wouldn't just sent a letter and that's it, knowing all the problems that can happen with the mail.
