Everytime I download one and burn to disk it's only one track. why?

What do you burn with, and how do you do it?

I use Windows Media player. I usually drag and drop the whole folder after download and delete unwanted files. All files show as individuals but after I burn it then put it in the car its either one track or I cant listen at all.
