Lil Flip Cleared In Credit Card Case
Platinum record-selling Houston rapper Lil Flip has been cleared of all charges in connection with an alleged credit card scam.
According to the Houston Chronicle, a Harris County grand jury has declined to indict the rapper for credit card abuse which stemmed from the purchase of an airline ticket in June. The rapper, whose real name is Wesley Eric Weston Jr., was accused of buying a $671 Southwest Airlines ticket to Baltimore from Houston on June 8 with someone else’s American Express card. Weston’s attorney, Stanley Schneider, said the ticket was purchased by a South Carolina man that Weston, 26, thought was a legitimate travel agency. Prosecutor Joe Vinas said the investigation is complete and no further charges are expected in the case.
