Question 'Teradiscs' To Kill Blu-Ray, HD-DVD?

A new storage technology has emerged that may make both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs obsolete. Mempile, an Israeli tech company has managed to fit one terabyte of information on a single "TeraDisc;" that's 20 times the storage capacity of a maxed out Blu-Ray disc.

That means you could store over 200 DVD quality movies on one disc. Or 250,000 MP3s.

The transparent discs use multiple, very thin layers to cram so much info into them. According to the company, they last 50 years and could be on the shelves in two to three years.

a disc can get scratched, break, you also need a player that reads that disc
external hard drives plug into damn near every computer and some newer TVs
you can drag and drop wherever you go, cant do that with a disc unles its a rw and then you got to wait for it to burn thats even if that person has that type of burner

dont get me wrong more disc storage the better but I guarantee the disc will be at least $300-$400 the playe will be at least $1000 and thats a year from now bluray and hddvd burners still around $500 for a decent one and good luck finding blank disc for that shit

today

but like i said click below thats what 750GB can hold
again
fuck discs:dvvbash:
hard drives
