TorrentSpy was under court order to begin logging traffic of their users so the MPAA could seek legal action against downloaders. The order was appealed but that appeal failed.

Instead of complying, TorrentSpy has blocked all US users from their tracker. If you used TorrentSpy and live in the US, congratulations on being blocked.

Their users are primarily foreign so this won't affect their traffic much, but the MPAA will keep fighting them even as their ship sinks into the depths of the internets.

i dont really mess with torrents unless i really need it. and i tried it the other day and it said some crazy shit about me being blocked kuz i live in the US....i was gonna post but u beat me to it..

as long as you dont have vista, use peerguardian 2.... it isnt 100% safe, but it helps alot... i got vista and im takin a risk dling torrents... this thread just made me cancel my "repos" dl... looked like such a good movie...

whats the difference between torrents and uploading sites like rapidshare, megaupload, sendspace and etc.. can they catch you on sites like that
