sociology is interesting. you'll take classes in discrimination of minorities, homosexual rights, women's rights, and some global religion classes. it broadens your perspective and allows you to see things from more of an outsider's perspective. philosophy is interesting too.. i was a double major at one time with that as well with a concentration in existentialism but i just didn't have time for both. i though sociology just fit me better mostly because of the black studies program. i would suggest declaring either one and taking classes in both your first two semesters then making up your mind. if you want to switch, there's still plenty of time after your first year to take all the classes and still have space for tons of electives. i hope this helps..
