Default 3rd cover Tried

3rd cover tried...yadda yadda

yeah it says 'ruthleff', it seems the font is some germanic shit its supposed to say 'rutheless', land & water, or whatever the dude who got booted down the hole said, earth and water or some shit, you get my drift...added grunge brushes, birds, statue of liberty, render flare, birghtness brushes around head, wrist bling, crispy cracks brushes, and glow here and there...right side is for tracklist, thats why its empty....etc, i could add dj's as faces in the army, or extra mcs behind jay, but it was a quick job so i didint care

so this is the 3rd cover tried by rawn, i still need to get blending down pat...

Yeah, but from what I can see, Jay looks out of place in a medieval warzone, and so does the statue of liberty, plus the dirt/island that the statue is on needs to be blended in way more...

But remove the watermark so we can actually see it..

here is the unmarked version...

the medivial theme came about from a response to someone else doing a cover...NOT MINE!...he called it ruthless, the last ruthless dude i remember was leonidas for some reason it popped in my head, seems to fit if you ask me...

and using a jay render naming it, 'ruthless' so rawn came up with the 300 theme on a whim trying to ad suggestions to his thread, im surely hardpressed to find jay in a leonidas outfit and i could have tried to cut heads and place and what not but this was a 'example try' honestly when i sugested the '300 the' to this other person i did this up in 30 min really...

my response to his cover...

im not a boss general of graphics.....

as i see it...

the whole cover needs placement, better text, better lighting, and a better organization of renders..to me the whole cover looks thrown together

to me first look:

- 3 renders placed over a background, small lighting and some patterned text. very rudimentary try and i know he can try to do better
as far as my version....

fits to me....the statue was a throw in render just for kicks, the island was in the original background so the only actual add-in to the back is the statue and the birds, i dont know about blending items that are already in the background to begin with let me know..., seems to work but really has no actual place since jay is from ny and a broken down liberty aint the 'ledge, lmbaoo if you get my drift, but hey it looks fine in the warzone 300 theme to me....but yeah the blending thing is one thing i have heard many forms of accomplishing from simple to some complicated techniques, seems the gradient map is popular to blend, if anyone has any tips let me know....BLENDING TIPS, i surely would like to know some techniques since its really one of the most important features in a cover, pm me or add suggestions here , thanks....

Don't nobody want that shit, remove the watermark.

*Edit: Jay is awkwardly placed on the first one.

The second one is just terrible...no blending whatsoever, the proportions are off, the text is bad...

yeah the second one isnt mine .....and when you mean 'awkwardly placed' as in..
the perspective of his render against the backgorund of the army, i assume as far as camera angles on the whole cover...?

i just grabbed a jayz render that was sufficient, and dropped it in a quick piece, the one thing i think i need is more blending work, the whole 'angles/persepective' is easily fixed but it was a quick piece, the one thing i need to work on is blending, i have heard the whole 'lazy mans blend' copy layer>guassian blur, to the 3,4,5,6 gradient map shits, so im working on that one...

but yeah just for notes, that second one ISNT RAWNS...
