I thought it was in filter but it's not. Also how do you blend I forgot. I know it has to do with the marquee tool ane entering quik mask.

click the marquee tool then look just above it and to the right and you should see feather. change that to about 40 px and then select a part of the picture>click select inverse, then press delete...... the more times ya press delete the more it will fade
