beginner question
wen making sigs...how do u have the background black and white and the render have color....and vice versa...it seems when i change the render to black and white the background turns black and white as well which i dont want

just make a black square that covers the full bg and have it behind the render and turn it to color.

just go the layer and press ctrl+shift+u to desaturate that layer
