Whatever happened to this Fugees song??? "Killing Them Softly"
*props if you got this and can zshare.net it for me*
the fugees had a version of 'killing me softly' which was (i think) called 'killing them softly'. The lyrics were about how they got signed and how the record label took there music. however, this song is impossible to find anywhere. i remember a neighbour of mine had it as a b-side on one of there singles way back. it wasnt a live recording, it was just like the usual version but dare i say better. does anybody know what happened to this version? i remember reading that when they were having trouble with enya over the samples used in 'ready or not', she let them off the hook on the grounds that they were not a 'gangsta rap' group, could this be why they maybe got rid of this version? the lyrics were something like this they heard we had a good song they heard we had the style and so they came to see us and listen for a while they spoke as if they knew us, in our most darkest fairs but we just kept on rhyming, as if they werent there strumming their pain with our fingers singing their lives with our words killing them softly with this song killing them softly with this song telling their whole lives with these words, killing them softly etc etc *props if you got this and can zshare.net it for me*
