Now, I really haven't been listening to Hip Hop Is Dead, nor have I even gotten my ass up to buy the album [I will eventually, before XMAS], but I may have been wrong when I said: "Hip Hop Is Dead motto is a marketing ploy to get people to buy East coast rappers' albums and destroy the rep of the South". Now, that I listen deeper in the latest Nas album, this is some pretty slick shit. Not only is his album the most controversial album in the year 2006, but it's also predicted to sell 300,000 units it's first week.

That'll be hella good for Nas, even with the minimal promoting he gave us about the album and the half ass music video for his single he produced.

I mean, he got jigs left and right getting not only nervous/guilty about "killing Hip Hop" [Um, T.I. and Jeezy, anyone?], but has basically fabricated questions that should've been asked a long time ago [check the album to see what I mean].

Will Nas make another Illmatic? I seriously don't think so, but [i]Hip Hop Is Dead[/], is better than Street's Disciple. Way better.

Also: fuck Nas' baby's mother for selling her bullshit book the SAME day his album release. That dirty slut!

what nas did was diagnose the problem which is the first step to recovery... I think next year we'll start seeing the ressurection of hiphop cuz alot of artists are taking what nas said to heart...

Even people like Luda wearin that shirt.... he knows hiphop is dead but just wont admit it....

the fact is people aint makin music like they used to. Jim jones explained it all in that interview. He basically said hiphop is about money, which is true to a certain extent but its also about the love for music which we can definately see Nas has

Next year I guarntee will be the ressurection of hiphop
