The one and only Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter has lived a life many would consider priceless. The world watched as Jay-Z went from being a renowned street pharmacist, to a multi-platinum selling artist. Revered by many as President Carter, the man we've come to know as Jigga, or the 8th Wonder, has now added actor to his long list of accomplishments. It is no surprise that J Hova would add to his repertoire by positioning himself infront of the camera. His chosen vehicle, a remake of the 1983 classic feature Trading Places, seems an inevitable choice for the reigning King of New York.

Having pulled out all the stops to assemble the all-star cast, Empire Pictures promises not to disappoint audiences with their adaptation of Roc-a-Fella’s last hoorah. Beyonce Knowles, Damon Dash and Kareem "Biggs" Burke stretch their acting chops, taking on the roles of Penelope Witherspoon, Randolph and Mortimer Duke.

How can the one who professes to be The Prince of the Thieves, have the life he’s worked so hard for stolen? Should you have the sad misfortune to entrust your life/career to another, expect in return nothing less than to be played as a pawn in a game of chess. A game of strategy will ensue though you won’t be invited to participate.

Having brought Roc-a-Fella to a level of success that leaves many envious, with a measly four quarters and a chance meeting with Billy Ray Valentine (Jay-Z), Randolph (Damon) and Mortimer (Kareem) take the life, friendships and love Winthorpe (The Prince) once knew in a flash.
