Man, what's with everyone jocking this overrated, 1/2 on 1/2 off, Rakim wanna be! Illmatic, was a RAP clasic! Nuff said.

2 years later, he drops " It was written ". Solid soph offering. But, got to preachy for most. I loved this LP more than Illmatic, actually.

3 years later Nas offers, " I am ". LOL, 1.5/5, if that. Like 3 bangers on the whole CD. Mostly repetitive themes and overused flows.

In the same year he dropped " I am ", he dropped " Nastradamus ", A horrible release, by a potential great. I wanted my money back!

2001, gave us Stillmatic. A good LP 3/5. I had hope again for this once classic emcee.

next was " God's son ". Another minor disappointment. Besides Made you look, and I can, there were weak flows, with trying to be wisdom, spread throughout. 2/5 at best.

Streets disciple, was 2.5-3/5. Again made me hope for more than a banging LP every 6 years.

Finally, for solo LPs, was " Hip Hop is dead ". Another RAP classic. 4.5/5! Nas, could be back. But only 2 really outstanding CDs over 12 years, does not rank you among the best living!

Especially when Jay-Z, Tash, Pharaohe Monch, KRS-one, are still alive! Not to mention, Rakim.The true G.O.A.T.! The man Nas has patterned himself after.

okay KRS >> Rakim // nas >>> jay z ! ay yo man jay iz a good flow rapper , but nas iz better in every category man , plus az far as song subjects jay aint got shit on nas ( just check theyr last 2 albumz ! ) and i beleive , nas can still make muzic 10 years from now , otherwize i cant imagine hearin another jay song ( unless it got he old flow ( black album , reasonable doubt ) )
