Scott Porter/Matthew Fox Play Racer X

Racer X, the older brother/arch nemesis of Speed Racer in the film version of Speed Racer, is such a badass that he requires two actors to play him. Yes, the Wachowski Brothers have hired an actor to be young Racer X and older Racer X. Racer the younger will be played by Scott Porter, from Music and Lyrics, and the older, more menacing X will be Matthew Fox, your crazy friend Jack Shepherd from Lost.

Of course, Emile Hirsch will be playing Speed, and Christina Ricci will be Trixie. This is a pretty good cast all around, and we wouldn't be surprised if Speed Racer were much better than people thought it would be. At the same time, we thought that about Con Air...and look what happened with that.

i think this is gonna turn out pretty good...ain't the Wachowski Brothers the guys that did the Matrix??? if they are this is gonna turn out to be a great movie, talk about great visual effects! it will be interesting to see where they take the story for this one, with a cast like this, i think the plot is the only thing that could possibly go wrong...than again that is the case for a lot of movies...
