If he is as good as he looks in the traliers then I say yes. I think it is BS that oscars only goto indi films or films about dark depressed people near death. The academy thinks that big blockbuster movies have no artistic vision but the last batman was amazing from the direction to the writting so yes I'm on board. If he's that good give him the Oscar and stop hating on blockbuster films you old as bitches in the academy..

I have to agree with you. I cannot wait to see this movie. From the trailers his performance looks phenomenal.

i think he could definatly win one, the joker would have to be some difficult shoes to fill considering jack nicholson, a legend played the original.

and judging from the trailors it looks like heath ledger did a fine job at it...

Co-Sign! But if he is nominated/wins would it be for Actor in Leading/Supporting Role? IMO it would be for Supporting Role!

^^^^Yea it would have to be supporting role because you gotta figure that Christian Bale is the lead actor in this movie.
