I know what this movie looks like and the only reason I went to go see it was becuase its free (friend works for the news paper) and Eddie Murphy is my all time favortie comedian/actor.

I know alot of people dont agree but I think everything eddie murphy makes is funny and this movie is no diff. It was fuck hilarous. Def worth checking out this weekend with a date.

Long gone??? Dude still commands one of the highest salries in Hollywood and is one of the top grossing actors of all time.

That may be true but look at his last movies & just becasue he USED to be a good actor doesnt me he is one 2day! - IMO

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thats some real shit man. Until you get enough money that you don't have to worry. Then you should pay attention to quality. He was damn good in Dreamgirls though.

I can see where he's coming from, but he's obviously not using any of his adopted hood ideals anymore. He's not hard up for cash, so he shouldn't do movies based on that. He shouldn't let luxuries command his job, because as soon as an actor loses his passion, it shows on screen. And it's bullshit.

You do realize that two of the movies you mentioned one Academy awards and he was nominated for one.
If you base your decision on rather to go see a movie on a 50yr old white guys opinion then I guess u missed every black movie made in the last 20yrs.
