Justice League Movie
The logistics of actually making the movie seem like a nightmare, but Warner Bros. is nonetheless forging ahead with a flick featuring the Justice League of America, the all-star crew of DC Comics superheroes that includes Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Husband and wife screenwriting team Kieran and Michele Mulroney (he's the brother of actor Dermot Mulroney) have been hired to write the script for the movie, which might also include DC heroes like the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. The studio will have to tackle several major issues along the way to big screen, however, namely, how the movie would fit in with the studio's current Superman and Batman franchises, as well as its stalled, but still in development, Wonder Woman feature. Will Brandon Routh and Christian Bale star, or will the League movie cover a different era in those superheroes' lives? And will current Superman and Batman directors Bryan Singer and Christopher Nolan be involved? And speaking of the woman with the Golden Lasso … now comes the news that Casino Royale star Eva Green is in the running for the lead. As Variety points out, it all should be a major topic of chatter amongst comic-book geeks at this weekend's New York Comic Con, which kicks off today in New York City.
