Whats the difference between Illustrator and Photoshop they look kind of the same whats Illustrator made for.

Illustrators mainly for vectoring pics.

^ pics made using the pen tool etc . other tools like that. and when you increase the size of the image, the quality isnt lost.

Illustrator is vector based
Photoshop is Pixel based The difference is that in illustrator you make the image any size you'd like without pixelating the image. meaning you can make the image any size stretch, bigger or smaller and you won't lose the quality, unlike photoshop where the image will become pixelated once you enlarge the image. However, Illustrator is used mainly for logos (theres a few other things you could use it for too). So if a company for example BMW has their logo. They can take that same logo and minimize it for a brochure, but enlarge it so it can be put on a billboard without losing any quality. By the way, anything you see, with logos, Taco bell, BMW, anything they all use illustrator is an industry requirement. As is photoshop and Quark XPress
