Help...Question With Sigs

I need some help with Photoshop CS 2. I'm new to the whole graphic thing, but you gotta start somewhere right? I can't figure out how to transfer one of my .PSD's to my sig and make it fit. Every time I cut and paste it all I see is a corner of the PSD because its too big. How do I get it to fit nicely on the sig? Props to those who can help me out. I've read a few tutorials but nothin is helpin.

Select the layer you want to resize then Edit>Free Transfrom.
Hold shift when you resize cause otherwise the render will be stretched
