Wrecked Porsche Carrera GT From "Redline" Movie Up On eBay

Up for auction on eBay is a Carrera GT the seller claims was damaged while the filming the movie. Now, this isn't the GT that is seen going off a cliff, but instead is a GT once owned by the producer that was used and damaged during filming. Damage is confined to the left front, and the car still runs. It's just not drivable due to a busted front axle. The auctioneers warn that the repairs would cost much more than most new cars. Heck, an oil change on one of those probably cost more than some new cars.

Bidding starts at $100,000 (about $340k less than a new, undamaged GT) and is open to anyone and everyone.

why doesnt he just get it fixed than selling the car for 300k less? :|

i guess this is an example of the habits of the rich and famous...something gets jacked up just get rid of it at all costs, and buy somethin new...

i heard their are lots in almost every city which deals exclusively with celebs, athletes, or whatever and just purchase their damaged cars (which could have as little as a scratch to a dent) and resell such cars for cheap!

I guess the owner is thinkin why fix it when i can buy a new one...not so sure bout his logic tho...

nice ride no less tho...with exception of the front panel being damaged/missing...

That's probably what they're thinking.....why fix it when they can afford to get a brand new one. Nothing like that new car smell!
