Default Wut up car people..got a question about car audio

I dont know shit about cars and im lookin to buy a good but cheap car..im leanin towards this 04 nissan sentra..everything seems good cept the radio seemed to have a little bit of static and sound is everything for me...i was planning to buy a new sexy cd player for my new whip anyway so if i did get this car then replaced the cd player with something real nice, would that make the sound better? or is the sound all from the speakers an shit? i could care less about the radio quality really, dont listen to that shit..but i figured if the radio sound was bad than the cd sound would probly be bad too

CD player won't do anything for radio sound quality. It could be the speakers or the antenna, probably the latter if it's a used car. Nissan speakers aren't that great so I'd replace both if I were you. Heck, if you got the money go buy a shark fin speaker so it looks nice and gets better reception than what you have now.

well i dont care about radio quality...i dont listen to the radio, just cds...i didnt have a cd with me so i just tested the sound by listening to the radio and noticed the sound wasnt amazing so i figured the cd sound would be the same...my question is will a new cd player improve the cd quality sound?

The player itself won't affect sound quality, unless if the original player it defected but it's an 04 so I wouldn't think so. I wouldn't trust a radio for speaker quality, but if the CD sounds static too then it's the speakers.

Cd's are always ganna sound better because its running directly from the player itself. the radio is all frequency so you wont get the best quality. thats why most cd players have the loud option.

From what ive learned its okay to use it on door speakers but if ur on cd and runnin loud and have subs they'll blow the subs

just dont buy dual, yeah they look nice but i thought the same way, 6 months later broke. same with motorized faceplate. that motor will die and ur stuck with it.

Wrong, the head unit is one of the most important parts for sound quality. Running a better aftermarket CD player will put more wattage to your speakers as well as give you a boosted signal-to-noise ratio, not to mention being able to adjust the sound frequencies better with built in equalizers, digital time aligners, and all other kinds of shit that you don't get with a stock factory deck. This is all before adding an aftermarket amplifier. Then you have better pre Volts to worry about which usually feed the amp a stronger, cleaner signal without having to crank up your gain to have your music get loud.

Head Units don't have built in amps silly, they are just built better and are able to deliver more power to the speakers. The main reason why it's better is the Signal-to-noise ratio, more rms wattage to the speakers, and better internals on the head unit.

CD's won't ALWAYS sound better, mainly because it all depends on the original recording. If you burn a CD with nothing but songs at 96kbps or 112 kbps, it'll pretty much sound worse than radio quality, but if you are listening to an original pressed (not burned) CD, then the quality should be pretty much perfect (with the major fallbacks relying strictly on the recording studio), but iirc, radio broadcasts at 128kbps, and there are a lot of people that burn CD's with songs on par or even lower than that. Which is why I listen to FLAC tracks or VBR.

Isn't he talking about speaker quality though? Getting a new Cd deck shouldn't improve that.

every deck will make your speakers sound different. not exactly make it better or worse, but youll hear more bass with 1 deck and more treble with another....different equalizations for different brands...

but i have a 97 nissan and it has nissan brand speakers in it. those are the worst speakers i ever heard. im puttin in new pioneers all the way around.
