Well the GT-R's brake horsepower is actually in the 507-515 range but everyone assume the one listed on the website was the bhp (it's actually the NET). Still you're absolutely right, though, you can't just throw on a 100 horses and hope it solves the problem because it'd just be even more embarrassing. Think about it, as much as I love the ZR1 right now I can easily debunk the attacks against Nissan:
1) Even with a passanger the GT-R will still be the heavier car. 2) ZR1 has 100 more hp and still pulled off a lower time. 3) Don't discredit engineer drivers because Chevy engineers can drive a heck of a lot better than most owners on the Corvette forums. 4) Wet spots vs. damp track? This is up to you to determine which is worse. 5) Stop assuming the GT-R has cutslicks. Potenza tires were used and even if they're better than what's on the 911 turbo or 'Vette it's still on the production model (premium edition as tested).
