Anyone know how to fix a car remote? To unlock doors. When I bought my car, it came with the remote, but it wasn't working, so I changed the battery and it still doesn't work. Yes, it is the correct battery size.

But I was hoping some day it would work, because my baby cousin was playing with it at one time and he got it working for like a day and it was a great day for me, and than randomly it just stopped working and hasn't been working since. I'm guessing it's something inside it, but I don't know what it is and I'd like to before I pry it open.

Propz for some help.

take it to the dealership and get a new one programmed to your car

^^ What those guys said. How do you not tell us what type of car it is and how old it is? Plus, if it isn't the battery then it's probably something electrical inside. It may even be the receiver in your car. Go to the dealership

Alright cool, sorry, completely forgot about my car information.

1998 Acura 3.5RL

I don't know what it is, it's worked for a day and I never really bothered with it afterward, but I'm getting sick of opening my car with my keys.

Just find an Acura dealership and get a new one programmed to your car

Yeah, they should be pretty nice about it. Might cost though if they decide to charge you.

They shouldn't charge you, since that would be a dickhole move, and it wouldn't even take but a minute to do.

yea i dont know how much it will cost but you can atleast ask them before they do anything to see if you wanna do it deal with a broken one

they usually charge for re programming a remote.
best option is to take it to an acura dealer and get the guys in the service department to take a look at it.
