Its a good car to get...just be careful with it being your first car. Also, since you live in Ontario make sure you get the car checked for rust/salt damage. For $25k make sure you get a mechanically sound car. If its got more than 70,000 km on it definitely ask questions about it.

make sure u actually look into the vehicle
mileage. compare similar. just like what rags said. make sure u get a mechanically sound car. car salesmen arent the straightest arrows.
